The Los Angeles Dodgers are trading outfielders Matt Kemp and Yasiel Puig, pitcher Alex Wood and catcher Kyle Farmer and cash considerations to the Cincinnati Reds for pitcher Homer Bailey and two prospects.
Also headed to the Dodgers are shortstop Jeter Downs, who was a first-round pick (No. 32) in the 2017 draft, and right-handed pitcher Josiah Gray, a second-round pick (No. 72) this past summer who turned 21 on Friday.
Kemp, 34, hit .290 with 21 home runs and 85 RBIs last season for the National League champion Dodgers, while Puig, 28, hit .267 with 23 home runs and 63 RBIs.
Wood, 27, went 9-7 with a 3.68 ERA last season but shifted to the bullpen for the playoffs.
Bailey, 32, struggled to a 1-14 record with a 6.09 ERA for the last-place Reds.

Farmer, 28, hit .235 in 39 games as the Dodgers’ backup catcher.
Downs, 20, hit .257 with 13 home runs in A-ball in 2018 while also stealing 37 bases in 47 attempts. Gray had a 2.58 ERA in 12 starts in rookie ball at Greeneville.
Reds catcher Tucker Banhart reacted to the trade with a one-word tweet: “Woah.”
