Minnesota Wild defenseman Matt Dumba will miss at least three months after having surgery to repair a ruptured right pectoralis muscle, the team announced Wednesday.
Dumba has 12 goals — second most among NHL defenseman — and 10 assists this season.
He was hurt in a 2-1 loss to the Flames on Dec. 15, and had been listed as out with an upper-body injury.
