Toss New Zealand chose to bowl v Bangladesh
After the first two days were washed out, New Zealand captain Kane Williamson opted to bowl first against Bangladesh in the second Test in Wellington, on the third morning. The home side predictably chose Matt Henry in place of legspinner Todd Astle as they look to take advantage of the green Basin Reserve pitch.
Bangladesh captain Mahmudullah said that he would have decided to bowl first too, and had a wry smile on his face after losing the toss. Bangladesh made two changes of their own, bringing in Mustafizur Rahman and Taijul Islam, to replace Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Khaled Ahmed.
The tourists are down 1-0 after losing the first Test in Hamilton by an innings and 52 runs.
