Will the winners qualify for Europe?
If Manchester City win the FA Cup, then the place reserved for the winners will be transferred to the Premier League. It means 5th and 6th in the Premier League will go direct to the Europa League group stage, while 7th will enter the competition in the second qualifying round.
If Watford win the FA Cup, they will qualify direct to the Europa League group stage along with 5th in the Premier League. It would also mean that 6th will start out in the second qualifying round. There would be no berth in Europe for the team that finishes 7th.
There is no place in Europe for the FA Cup runners-up, though Watford could yet finish seventh and still claim a Europa League spot despite losing the final.
