Free-agent guard Tomas Satoransky has agreed to a three-year deal with the Chicago Bulls, league sources tell ESPN.
The Bulls are acquiring Satoransky in a sign-and-trade deal with the Washington Wizards, and he’ll have a chance to compete for the starting point guard role, sources said.
Chicago has now added two veterans in free agency — Satoransky and forward Thaddeus Young — to complement a talented young core.
Satoransky, 27, gives coach Jim Boylen a 6-foot-7 playmaker who had his best NBA season a year ago with the Wizards, starting 54 games after injuries curtailed John Wall‘s season. Satoransky was a restricted free agent.
Satoransky, a Czech native, averaged 11 points, 6.5 assists, and 4.2 rebounds after the All-Star Break for the Wizards. He’s entering his fourth NBA season.
