A lightweight matchup between Benson Henderson and Myles Jury will headline Bellator 227 on Sept. 27, according to Bellator MMA officials.
Jury (18-4) announced the bout on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show on Monday, and the promotion confirmed it to ESPN. The event will take place in Dublin.
A former UFC lightweight, Jury will be making his first appearance outside of the Octagon since 2010. The Michigan native signed with Bellator earlier this month. He exited the UFC on a two-fight skid to Chad Mendes and Andre Fili.
He will face a former UFC champion in Henderson (27-8), who has won his last three contests after going 1-3 to start his Bellator career. Henderson has come up short in title bids against Andrey Koreshkov and Michael Chandler in Bellator, but is making his way back to a shot at 155 pounds.
