Max Holloway won by unanimous decision over challenger Frankie Edgar on Saturday at UFC 240 to retain his featherweight title.
The judges scored it 50-45, 50-45 and 48-47 in favor of Holloway.
The match was Holloway’s 13th straight win at featherweight. Holloway (21-4) made his third defense of the title he originally won in June 2017 against Jose Aldo at UFC 212.
Holloway and Edgar (22-7-1) finally met on Saturday after two unsuccessful attempts to fight for the featherweight title. At UFC 218, their bout was canceled because of an Edgar injury and another bout at UFC 222 didn’t happen after Holloway got injured.
