Featherweight sensation Shakur Stevenson will go for his first world title when he faces Joet Gonzalez in the main event of a Top Rank on ESPN+ card at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center in Reno, Nevada, on Saturday at 10 p.m. ET. The undercard will air at 6:30 p.m. ET, also on ESPN+.
Stevenson (12-0, 7 KOs), 22, has won five of his past seven fights by stoppage, including a third-round KO victory over Alberto Guevara in July.
Stevenson, of New Jersey, has fought three times already this year (3-0, 2 KOs).
Gonzalez (23-0, 14 KOs), 26, seemed to have found his power as of late. After starting his career with just four stoppage victories in his first 10 fights, the fighter from Glendora, California, has scored eight KO/TKO victories in his past 10, including a KO in Round 6 against Manuel Avila in July.
