All six of the 2019 Professional Fighters League champions will return for the upcoming 2020 season, the promotion told ESPN on Monday.
The list of champions includes female lightweight Kayla Harrison, two-time featherweight champion Lance Palmer, two-time lightweight champion Natan Schulte, welterweight Ray Cooper III, light heavyweight Emiliano Sordi and heavyweight Ali Isaev.
The PFL intends to overturn approximately 50 percent of its roster from 2019, via free agency signings and a new International Qualifier Series, a series of one-night tournaments. The 2020 “regular season” is scheduled to begin in May.
The promotion’s biggest free agent signing to date is former UFC welterweight title challenger and Bellator MMA champion Rory MacDonald.
