The LA Clippers will be without Paul George for at least two more games as he continues to deal with a swollen right toe, coach Ty Lue said Tuesday.
George will not join the team on its two-game road swing through Minnesota and Chicago, which begins Wednesday with a matchup against the Timberwolves.
George has missed the past two games and is trying to get the swelling to go down in the toe. He could be re-evaluated as early as Saturday.
“Staying back home and getting some treatment,” Lue said of George. “And we’ll reevaluate when we get back.”
The Clippers could have injured starting point guard Patrick Beverley back as soon as Wednesday against the Timberwolves. Beverley, who has missed the past eight games with right knee soreness, was upgraded to questionable for the game.
