Time to celebrate
SMU tried to celebrate. The Mustangs really did. However, TCU wasn’t having it when they tried to plant their flag on the field.
TCU wasn’t about to let that SMU flag get planted 😂

The City of Fresno has declared this week “Fresno State Football and Quarterback Jake Haener Week.” There should be more of this around college football when a team majorly upsets someone like Fresno State did to UCLA last weekend.

Many happy returns
You figured it would be a good day for Alabama’s Jameson Williams when he returned the opening kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown. He finished with three kick returns for 177 yards and two TDs, plus one reception for 81 yards and another score.
Alabama’s Jameson Williams becomes the first FBS player in the last 15 years with three 80-yard touchdowns in a game.

Stephen A. Smith is a man of his word. He lost a bet to Tim Tebow — he said Florida would lose by more than three touchdowns to Alabama last weekend, and he had to pay up.

Game Day antics
Kevin Kelly doesn’t believe in punting, and, yes, you are reading those words correctly. It’s an unorthodox way of playing, but a fascinating one nonetheless. Read more about the Presbyterian head coach here.
He doesn’t believe in punting and has drawn praise from the likes of Bill Belichick.

It’s definitely a bad idea to give Bijan Robinson any room.
Texas’ Bijan Robinson dodges defenders and turns on the jets for the 38-yard touchdown.

QB controversy in Norman?
Oklahoma quarterback Spencer Rattler entered the season with Heisman aspirations. Midway through Week 4, Sooners fans are calling for his backup.
After a first half in which he threw for 73 yards, one touchdown and one interception, Oklahoma fans were chanting, “We want Caleb,” referencing freshman Caleb Williams, who was the No. 16 prospect overall in the 2021 recruiting class.
Chants came midway through the second quarter after West Virginia cornerback Jackie Matthews picked off Rattler on a deflection.

Oklahoma trailed 10-7 at halftime, but Rattler came out in the second half and led Oklahoma on a 10-play, 64-yard drive that resulted in a field goal.
