Sources: UFC finalizing Hardy-Oleinik for January

The UFC is finalizing a heavyweight fight between Greg Hardy and Aleksei Oleinik for a UFC event on Jan. 22, per multiple sources on Monday.

Hardy (7-4) is looking to turn things around after back-to-back losses for the first time in his career. The heavyweight bout is expected to take place on the UFC 270 pay-per-view event, however the UFC has not yet announced the affair on Jan. 22.

A former NFL defensive lineman, Hardy earned his way into the UFC on the Dana White Contender Series in 2018, and made his official debut in 2019. He has accumulated an official UFC record of 4-4.

Oleinik (59-16-1) is a veteran MMA fighter out of Ukraine, who has lost his past three in a row. His most recent losses have come against Derrick Lewis, Derrick Lewis and Sergey Spivak.
