Ishan Kishan has recovered from the concussion he suffered during India’s T20I series against West Indies in late February, and has joined the Mumbai Indians’ pre-season strength and conditioning camp, which began in Mumbai on Tuesday. Kishan has received a full-fitness certificate from the National Cricket Academy (NCA), according to a Mumbai Indians statement.
Suryakumar Yadav, however, is still at the NCA, recovering from the hairline fracture that ruled him out of India’s recent T20I series against Sri Lanka. His availability for Mumbai’s opening game of IPL 2022, against Delhi Capitals on March 27, will become clearer next week.
Mumbai captain Rohit Sharma and fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, meanwhile, have also joined the pre-season camp, having transferred into the team bubble directly from the India bubble for the just-concluded Test series against Sri Lanka.
