Former bantamweight world titleholder Luis Nery of Mexico faces Philippines’ Jason Canoy in a fight that will air live on ESPN+ in the United States at 11 p.m. ET on Saturday from the Gasmart Stadium in Tijuana, Mexico.
Nery won a bantamweight title against Shinsuke Yamanaka in 2016, but lost it in the scales in the rematch in March, 2017. He defeated Yamanaka by TKO in Round 2 but hasn’t fought since then, since he was suspended by the WBC indefinitely.
