Football

With the winter window opening soon, the rumour mill is beginning to gather pace. Who will be moving where come January? Transfer Talk has the latest.

Top Story: Rashford to listen to Real offer

Marcus Rashford is prepared to hear Real Madrid out should the Spanish giants actually go ahead with their rumoured plan to submit an offer for the Manchester United youngster.

Frustrated by a lack of first-team opportunities at Old Trafford, Rashford, who is also drawing interest from Juventus, is reportedly willing to at least listen to any offer Real have for him, says the Sun.

Indeed, the 21-year-old forward is “very much open” to making the switch should he fail to nail down a place in Jose Mourinho’s starting XI.

Rashford has started five of United’s 12 Premier League games this season, and is not the only member of the club’s front line who is said to be peeved by his manager’s constant rotation.

Sensing a potential schism, Madrid have made contact with the England striker’s representatives to let them know they are deadly serious about taking him to the Bernabeu should the opportunity arise.

Chelsea scout ‘frustrated’ Skriniar

Chelsea will send scouts to suss out Milan Skriniar next week as the Premier League side weigh up a £70 million raid for the Inter Milan centre-back, according to the Express.

With Inter due to play Tottenham at Wembley in the Champions League, the Blues are planning to run the rule over Skriniar, who has impressed with a string of rock solid performances for the Nerazzurri so far this season.

The report claims that the 23-year-old is growing “increasingly frustrated” with his lot at the Serie A club, who he feels are falling short in their efforts to match both his ambitions and his salary demands.

The door may be slightly ajar for the Blues to make their move, but it’s said that it may well take a hefty bid to pip fellow suitors Manchester United to the punch.

Llorente in shock Championship move?

More from the Sun, as Leeds United are confident of completing an audacious January loan deal for out-of-favour Tottenham target man Fernando Llorente.

The Championship side think that the promise of reuniting Llorente with Marcelo Bielsa, his former coach at Athletic Bilbao, will be enough to entice the Spanish striker to temporarily step down a division.

The 33-year-old has played less than 140 minutes of football for Spurs so far this season and spoke in October of his desire to rediscover the joys of first-team football.
