LOS ANGELES — Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell suffered a rib contusion and has been ruled out for the remainder of Friday night’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Mitchell exited with 9:05 remaining in the second quarter with the Jazz trailing 26-20.
He had four points on 2-of-9 shooting to go with three rebounds and two steals in 12 minutes.
Utah entered the day having lost eight of its previous 12 games. The Jazz next play at Sacramento on Sunday.
