Ballon d’Or winner Ada Hegerberg unveils perfect boots to commemorate her golden achievement

Football
The first Women’s Ballon d’Or winner Ada Hegerberg insists she didn’t consider twerk comments from DJ Martin Solveig offensive as she was just happy to celebrate such an historical achievement.

Ada Hegerberg will look every inch the Ballon d’Or winner the next time she steps out onto the pitch after being furnished with a sparkling pair of celebratory boots.

The prolific Lyon striker became the inaugural winner of the Women’s Ballon d’Or award earlier this month, thus adding to the UEFA Best Women’s Player in Europe award she won in 2016 and the BBC Women’s Footballer of the Year trophy she received in 2017.

Anyway, next time the 23-year-old Norwegian leads the line for Lyon, she will do so wearing a fabulous pair of custom-made gold Puma One boots in homage to her achievements.

The exclusive Puma boots feature a large message down one side that reads “Believe In Yourself”, which is a rather fitting sentiment.

Indeed, Hegerberg will sport her new footwear for the first time this weekend when her side travel to take on Montpellier in the Feminine Division 1 on Sunday.

In French “Or” translates as gold and Hegerberg’s new gold boots seem the perfect way to commemorate a golden achievement and a player who recently won FIFA’s “Golden Ball”.
