Rafael dos Anjos will face Kevin Lee in a battle of top welterweights at UFC Fight Night: Rochester on May 18, sources confirmed to ESPN.
The Democrat and Chronicle in Rochester, New York, first reported the matchup.
Dos Anjos is a former UFC lightweight champion who claimed the belt in 2015 in a win against Anthony Pettis. But after a victory against Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone, he is 4-3 since.
Dos Anjos, who moved up to welterweight in 2017, will look to rebound from two straight losses, both unanimous decision defeats to Colby Covington and Kamaru Usman, respectively.
This will mark Lee’s first fight at welterweight after spending his career in the lightweight division. He has won six of his last eight but is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Al Iaquinta in December.
Sijara Eubanks vs. Aspen Ladd, a fight between two top UFC female flyweights, will also be on the card.
