Clippers stun Warriors with playoff-record rally

NBA

OAKLAND, Calif. — The Los Angeles Clippers pulled off the biggest comeback in NBA postseason history Monday night when they rallied from a 31-point deficit to win Game 2 135-131 over the Golden State Warriors at Oracle Arena.

Previously, the largest comeback in NBA playoff history was when the Lakers rebounded from a 29-point deficit to beat the Seattle Supersonics in 1989.

“We changed a couple things offensively and defensively on the fly in the third,” Clippers coach Doc Rivers said. “And it worked out for us.”

The Clippers also came back from 27 points down in a playoff win over the Memphis Grizzlies in 2012.

With the win, the Clippers tied their first-round series at 1-1. Game 3 is Thursday in Los Angeles.
