Rafael Dos Anjos got his career pointed back in the right direction less than two months ago by ending a two-fight losing streak, and needs to keep the momentum going if he is to become a factor in the UFC’s welterweight division.
Leon Edwards has won seven in a row, but his momentum took a hit following his March fight, when he was sucker-punched by a Jorge Masvidal combo — “a three-piece and a soda” — backstage in London.
So both Dos Anjos and Edwards have reason to put on a big performance on Saturday when they meet in the main event of UFC Fight Night in San Antonio, Texas. The fights are on ESPN, with the main card getting underway at 9 p.m. ET, preceded by prelims at 5 p.m.

Also on the card is a former UFC heavyweight champion (Andrei Arlovski, who takes on fellow veteran Ben Rothwell) as well several onetime title challengers: Raquel Pennington, who takes on Irene Aldana at women’s bantamweight; Ray Borg, who faces Gabriel Silva at men’s bantamweight, and Roxanne Modaffieri, who fights Jennifer Maia at women’s flyweight.
