WBO junior featherweight titleholder Emanuel Navarrete put his belt on the line against Francisco De Vaca in the main event of a Top Rank Boxing card Saturday night at the Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles. The fight will air live on ESPN at 10 p.m. ET, with undercard bouts also on ESPN+ starting at 6:30 p.m. ET.
Navarrete (27-1, 23 KOs) won the WBO 122-pound title with a unanimous decision victory over Isaac Dogboe in December. Five months later in May, Navarrete dropped Dogboe twice in the rematch for a TKO victory in Round 12 to defend his title.
Navarrete, 24, of Mexico, has won 22 straight fights (18 by stoppage) since suffering the only loss of his career, a unanimous decision in four rounds to Daniel Argueta in 2012.
De Vaca (20-0, 6 KOs) defeated Ernesto Guerrero in a one-sided unanimous decision victory at the Celebrity Theater in Phoenix, Arizona, in February.
De Vaca, 24, of Michoacan de Ocampo, Mexico, has fought 18 of his 20 fights in Phoenix, where he resides.
