The much anticipated super welterweight fight between Jeff Horn and Tim Tszyu, which is set to determine Australia’s No. 1 boxer, will take place on Wednesday, April 22.
Both camps agreed to the date after weeks of negotiations, however a location is still to be confirmed. The venue believed to be leading the race for the fight is the Brisbane Exhibition Centre, but it’s believed Sydney’s Bankwest Stadium, Margaret Court Arena in Melbourne and Perth’s RAC Arena all remain possibilities.

The fight will be over 10 rounds and Horn, a former world welterweight champion, will take a 60-40 split of the purse.
Both Horn (20-2-1) and Tszyu (15-0-0) are coming off December victories. Horn won his rematch against Michael Zerafa in Brisbane, while Tszyu earned a fourth-round stoppage win over Jack Brubaker in his last outing.
With a no rematch clause added to the contracts, the winner is expected to earn a world title fight.
