Los Angeles Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw has been scratched from his start Tuesday in Game 2 of the National League Championship Series because of back spasms.
The Dodgers said right-hander Tony Gonsolin will start in Kershaw’s place against the Atlanta Braves.
The Braves hold a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series after a 5-1 win Monday night.
Not having Kershaw is a big blow to the Dodgers. He’s a three-time Cy Young winner and was the 2014 NL MVP. He has won both of his starts this postseason.
