Cory Sandhagen made a statement on Saturday night in Las Vegas, knocking out veteran Frankie Edgar with a memorable strike that will be seen on highlight reels for many years to come.

Sandhagen’s flying knee landed flush on Edgar’s chin, sending him to the canvas. Sandhagen has now won five of his past six fights, including a second-round KO of Marlon Moraes in October. With the victory, he has positioned himself for a future shot at the bantamweight title, currently held by Petr Yan.

After the bout, fellow fighters took to social media to praise Sandhagen’s victory.
